Linus did you try typing on the Aero? It's a nightmare. I just bought the Aero 17" screen with the 3060, i7 For a really great price. After typing on it for 20 minutes, the sharp edge on the left Became Painful, no way around Stop that Sharp edge from Being painful. And I had to keep retyping Because the keyboard is very non responsive in missed about 10% to 15% of what I was typing. I really wish you mentioned that in your review of these computers. Sure the 1080P screen is amazing, but what good is a great screen if you can't use the computer

I'm standing by my argument that high-end mobile GPUs with high-end laptops are a complete waste of money. You're getting extremely overpriced pieces of tech that are outperformed by desktops that cost a fraction. You're paying a huge price premium for what? Portability? When on battery these laptops throttle down to the level of a microwave? Laptops that overheat even if they are as thick as some of them get and then sound like a jet engine (on a bus)? Laptops that cook themselves to death in a year or two? And these laptops are also heavy as hell so IMO you can throw the portability argument out the window. Do you actually need to play Cyberpunk 2077 in 4k with RT enabled on a 2 hr train ride? I think this is such a small, rich people privilege niche that manufacturers spend a whackton of R&D on. I'm not saying that you shouldn't game on a laptop but everyone should calm down a be a bit more reasonable with their expectations and demands when it comes to "mobile" gaming. During my commutes I'm more than fine with playing Minecraft in 1080p on my little 920MX and dual core i5 in a small, actually portable and fairly silent laptop that cost me 500€ 3 years ago. Then when I get home, I can play whatever game I want in 1440p on my RTX 3070 equipped desktop. I can't see how it's worth for any of these companies to spend the money on their high-end gaming laptops and then ask the price of a car for some (every 2 years).

The Mobile 3080 is a 3070 Ti, there is no way around this. It uses the 3070 die but has more cuda cores. It uses the 3070 memory interface but can have 16GB. Expect a desktop variant of this in the near future.
